About Us

Established for over 25 years, we are a
small & friendly Village Camera Club that has
evolved with the photographic trends, but still keeps
a strong emphasis on the fun side of photography.

All abilities and experience levels are welcome at our club.
We have a very varied programme of events see below:

Regarded as one of the best night photographers in the world, Chris shoots exclusively at night, and will explain all you need to know about Night Photography.
29th Sep Library Bootcamp - Mastering the Basics - Martin Pawlett / Frank Cressy- Bring yout Kit
First half theory, second half practical. Basic camera setup, Image quality settings, Different Lenses, Where and when to use flash, Camera shake and how to avoid it.
3rd Oct Blythe Bridge The Robertshaw Trophy
Inter-club battle between Holmes Chapel, Leek, Blythe Bridge, Crewe, & Macclesifield. Held at Blythe Bridge
6th Oct Library First Open Competition*
Categories are Colour, Mono, Nature. Members may submit 1 print and 1 digital entry for each category. Total of 6 possible entries.

Practical evening of night photography and Star Trails. Bring your Kit. Meet up at 7pm

An overview of the process of creating a monochrome print & Examining how to overcome the limitations of digital cameras to capture a scene as the eye sees it.

19th Jan Library LCPU Mono Prints / Members Talk - Chris Davies - DS Colour Labs Walk Through
A chance to see the LCPU selection of Mono Prints from other clubs.
Chris will walk us through how to submit an image to DSCLfor printing.

Interclub battle between Holmes Chapel and Alsager.
Note this is at Alsager Camera Club, not Holmes Chapel Library.
16th Feb Library Members Knockout Challenge Night*
